WLAN Risks
WLAN uses radio waves for communication instead of Ethernet cables, allowing network access within the coverage area of the signal. While this offers convenience, radio waves can also be received by third parties, which may lead to the following risks:
- Eavesdropping – Unauthorized interception and recording of communications
- Unauthorized access – Unauthorized intrusion into the network environment
- Information leakage – Leakage of personal or confidential information
- Spoofing – Impersonation of a specific individual
- Data tampering – Alteration and retransmission of intercepted data
- Data destruction – Destruction of data or systems through computer viruses, etc.
The WLAN/Bluetooth Converter and WLAN products are equipped with security features, and using these functions can help reduce the above risks.
